Tech Tour PhotonHub Scaling Club

The PhotonHub Europe Scaling Club is an initiative developed by Tech Tour, Europe’s largest tech investment community, and PhotonHub Europe—a unique, comprehensive European digital innovation hub for photonics. It is established as part of the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation program in Public-Private Partnership with Photonics21. 

Is this for me?

The Scaling Club is designed to help UpScale tech Company Members [which can be investor portfolio companies] upscaling tech applications and businesses based on Photonics Integrated Circuits (PICs):

1. De-risking PIC-based product development:
   • Engage in well-defined projects beyond TRL-6.
   • Collaborate with top design, packaging, and foundry pilot manufacturing Upscaling Partners.
   • Upscaling Partners assist in defining, writing, and winning projects without cost to the Company.
   • If a project is won, the Company gains 50% co-funding, capped at €525K per project, for a maximum duration of 1 year.
   • The Company also has the potential to pursue follow-on projects.
2. Growing the Member company business:
   • Facilitate investments, partnerships, and leadership development.
   • Leverage Tech Tour, Europe’s largest tech entrepreneur and investment Member community.
   • Utilize collaborative methodologies developed for the EIC Scaling Club, which already boasts 120 Members.
   • If the Company wins the de-risking project (point 1), these services are provided free of charge.
